Freelance translations provided to a large number of clients in the health and hospital related fields, such as the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, the Ontario Regional Cancer Centre, Bruyère Continuing Care, the Royal Ottawa Hospital, The Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health, SmokersFX, LeaveThePackBehind, various research institutes, as well as the arts (TV Programs: renovation of Ottawa Cathedral, 3D documentary on Inuit art), exhibitions (for the Embassies of Germany and the Philippines), communications, social sciences, advertising, etc.

Children's Hospital Of Eastern Ontario | Principal Translator - 1983 to 1999

Handling translations in both official languages - documents ranging from general translations, newsletters, surveys, press releases, to specialized medical reports, consent forms, etc. often under very tight deadlines.

Until July 1999: handling translation needs of designated Ottawa area hospitals and programs, under a Ministry of Health mandate (such as Ottawa Hospital, Civic and General Campus, Heart Institute, Royal Ottawa, OCTC, Regional Perinatal Program, Sexual Assault Centre, YouthNet).

St. John Ambulance | Chief of Translation - 1979 to 1983

Responsible for the creation of the Translation Department at St. John Ambulance, handling translations from English into French and French into English of various documents, including First Aid manuals and a History of the Order of St. John.
